Go Downtown | Holiday Lighting Contest

Go Downtown is bringing the holiday spirit to downtown Gainesville with a holiday lighting contest! Decorate the exterior of your business with decorations for your favorite holiday this season. Any holiday is welcome, whether it be Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, Festivus, Boxing Day, New Year’s Eve, or even something obscure like National Spaghetti Day.  Complete registration by 11/30 to enter.

• Dates: 12/1 to 12/16. You're welcome to keep your decorations up longer, but voting will close on the 16th.
• Entry Fee: $100 - Paid by 11/30 (The Knot - Climbing Gym will collect the fees until the official organization is set up. If this fee is an issue, please reach out and we can make accommodations).
• Prize: All entry fees will contribute to the prize pool. The competition is winner takes all! First place will receive the entire cash prize pool.
• Judging: Judging will be based on votes from people who visit the participating locations and a final decision will be made by a panel of judges on 12/16. Votes will be awarded based on creativity and aesthetic.
• Budget: No limit! Let’s see what we can make happen. Spend what you can afford and try to make something special.
